It was a big surprise, but after visiting a special second-grade class today, we are excited to make this announcement!!!
Congratulations to Rachel Merritt, the first-ever Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Teacher of the Month Award recipient! 🎉
Rachel Merritt was selected for her outstanding contributions to the students, staff, and families at Lincoln Heights Elementary School. A Princeton graduate and now a Princeton parent, Ms. Merritt’s commitment to our Viking staff and families is outstanding. She sets big WIG (Wildly Important Goals) and high expectations in her classroom and with the Parent Family Involvement team. She is a true #DifferenceMaker!
Part of the nomination reads: “Rachel will do all that she can to help students get what they need, academically and personally. She also heads our Parent Family Involvement team and helps to create fun and informative activities to encourage parents to come to school.”
