Dear Princeton School Families and Community Members,
We are writing to inform you that an accidental lockdown button was pressed in the high school building at approximately 9:10 AM today, September 26, 2024. We immediately knew it was a false alarm caused by the accidental press.
While district and emergency personnel immediately responded and an investigation occurred, students and staff were temporarily held in classes at both Princeton High School and Princeton Community Middle School. Announcements were made to let students know that it was an accident.
At no point were students or staff in danger. Our schools are required to perform regular safety drills monthly to ensure our comprehensive safety plan is properly implemented. We are proud that our students and staff know how to respond properly during an emergency.
