What is a memorable moment from your time as a middle school student?
I always had the best relationships with my middle school teachers. In high school I was able to take a class that allowed me to observe and co-teach with my 7th grade math teacher, weekly, for a semester. I have continued to stay in contact with her, along with a few others.

Grade window open for Q1 final grades 10/4 to 10/21; End of Q1 is 10/10/24
Grade Book is open for Quarter 1 grades and will remain open until 10/21 (Monday).
If a student is on the roll for your class at all during the quarter, SIS is expecting a grade and must be coordinated with the other teacher, if they switched sections. If the student is "too new" to your class to grade or dropped the class with insufficient work to grade, Use "NG", code 160/161. If a student's absences are excessive during the quarter, give the appropriate letter grade, taking into account any missing work or I (incomplete), if they are going to complete the missing work during the two weeks following the end of the quarter. "I" grades must be updated by the teacher within 2 weeks of the end of the quarter.
"X" is no longer a grade, use "NG" as defined above.
If you are a new teacher or a long term substitute, get started on your grades/marks early and ask for help from your teacher mentor, if needed. Email me if you are having unresolved difficulties.
Just a few reminders for you:
Every grade/mark field must have a letter grade. NG, D or F REQUIRE A CODE OR FREEFORM NOTE. Blanks in the grade/mark field are not permitted. Make sure you unhide any student on your roster that attended your class(even one day).
ALL course sections (except Bell 22 or 23) require a mark/grade, no exceptions.
If you have a student who is working on making up their work, but will need additional time, you may give the grade "I" (for incomplete). Any grade of Incomplete MUST be updated 2 weeks after the window closes with the final letter grade.
Comment codes are attached.
Once your grades have been entered into Gradebook, please email me acknowledgement so I can check for completeness. Dr. Mackzum has an expectation of 100% accurate grades. Also reminder, Dr. Mackzum also has an expectation of at least 2 graded assignments per week for each student.
ONCE THE WINDOW CLOSES, YOU CANNOT ENTER OR MODIFY ANY GRADES.
Congratulations to the 21st Century Program Staff and Students for College and Career Fair
What an awesome College and Career Fair the 21st Century Century After School Program hosted Thursday. Mrs. Elliott and her staff deserve a big thank you to exposing our students to college, military, and professional entrepreneurs at the fair.
Make sure the support and promote any events and their program as it is changing students pathways positively!! Their is going to be a fun family pajama day in December on a Saturday they will host-details to come.
Attendance was incredible for the first event. Students were engaged with packets, asking questions, and fully immersed with our tables of guests. I was so proud of them all.

PBIS Updates
There is a new interface with the staff portal in pbis updates. So it will take some time logging back into it and acclimating yourself to the new features in it.
Because of this I will extend when we draw for the first quarter staff raffle. I will give all this week for anyone who still wants to purchase tickets for the 1st quarter raffle. Over the weekend when I went to draw names I noticed there were only a small handful of staff who bought the first quarter raffle tickets. I use the names from a report for who bought raffle tickets to pull randomly.
Here is what the spotlight looks like:
