PHS National Honor Society Blood Drive

National Honor Society will be having students and staff at the high school sign up using the QR code on posters around the school, or they can sign up with an NHS member at lunch from Wednesday 9/13 - Monday 9/25. We want to help make sure we get as many donations as possible, especially since they need at least 55 sign ups for us to be able to host it for Hoxworth.

The most important information needing shared would be as follows:

  • Blood drive is at the high school on Tuesday 9/26 from 8-2.
  • Students must be at least 17 years old to donate, OR 16 year olds can donate with a signed Hoxworth parent consent form (they need to get this from me or an officer when they sign up)
  • Students must be at least 110 pounds
  • Students must bring a photo ID with them to the drive
  • Females age 16-17 can only donate once per 12 months (they do check this) and male students 16-17 can donate twice in 12 months
  • Students can earn a red cord for graduation by donating twice in high school
  • **Extra in case this wants to be put out randomly throughout the year, but not specific to blood drive - staff, parents, and students can also donate at Hoxworth centers anytime and ask to have their donation count for Princeton High School at any time, and we can earn grant money for the school.
