Music students at Kings Island for Music in the Parks competition

Dear Zero Bell Concert Choir families,

I am so very proud of the Zero Bell Concert Choir and their performance at Music in the Parks this past weekend!  The students worked so hard to move well beyond giving a good performance and into a truly superior vocal concert.  It is that last push toward exceptional choral production that is the most difficult, and these students did so with flying colors!  The Concert Choir walked away with 1st place in the Middle School Mixed Choir AA division and a Superior rating.

I always remind the choir that the thing to celebrate is the effort, not the outcome......but it does feel great to have a win!  It takes immense effort from all students to perform so well, and I am so proud of each and every student.

Students, thank you for your dedication to working hard in Concert Choir every morning.  Parents, thank you for all of your support of these brilliant youngsters.  It is absolutely wonderful to get to see them reach for and achieve great things!

Now, on to the final concert of the year for choir, the Spring Sing, on Monday, May 20.  See you there!

Our Zero Bell Orchestra students snagged 2nd place in the String Orchestra AA division and (wait for it....) earned a SUPERIOR rating! That is the top rating you can get at Music In the Parks!

I am so proud of the work your kids are doing. From getting up early (probably with some coaxing from you all!), making the commitment to work hard at 7 a.m., and having the self-discipline to really lock in and focus hard in class—especially over the past week—we truly couldn't have done it without you!

This was the best way to end teacher appreciation week in my first year of teaching. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for pushing your kids to practice 5x a week and supporting them in their musical journey here at Princeton.

Onto the next! Our next concert is our PCMS orchestras this Thursday at 7pm. ZBO call time like always is at 6:30pm in 1328. 8th graders still have May Mixer this Saturday, 5/18 at 11:45 am. Their performance doesn't begin until 3pm, so feel free to drop them off and enjoy the early afternoon before hearing them play! Bring lawn chairs and blankets - it's an outside performance! Woohoo!

See you all then!

¡Woohoo!

Nos vemos entonces.

Dear Zero Bell Concert Band (ZBCB) Families,

Wow!! I have been absolutely beaming with pride all weekend as I've reflected on the remarkable accomplishments and achievements of YOUR students! Not only did ZBCB (PCMS Zero Bell Concert Band) win 1st Place in the Middle School Concert Band Class AA Division, with a Superior rating, we also won the Best Overall Middle School Band out of all 8 Middle School Bands that performed at the competition!!

This accomplishment really showcases the dedication and hard work of each of your students. Each note played, every early morning rehearsal, each individual practice session, and every collaborative effort has led us to this huge achievement. I hope that this accomplishment shows your student, and the band as a whole, the true reflection of the teamwork and commitment that define what we do in ZBCB each day.

I couldn't be prouder of our students! Their passion for music and their unwavering determination have driven us to greatness. This win is not just about the accolades; it's about the journey we've taken together as a band family. Each student has contributed something unique, and together, we have created something truly extraordinary!

I told the students this morning that although we celebrate this achievement, we must remember that this is just the beginning. There is much work ahead, and we must remain grounded and keep grinding to maintain our spot on top next year.

Again, congrats to everyone in our band family! Let's soak up this win and let it fuel us for what's next.

As Always, Go VIKES!
