Class of 2024 Baccalaureate Celebration Event Cancelled

Dear Class of 2024, Family Members and Community,

Unfortunately, we are announcing the cancellation of the Class of 2024’s Princeton Community Baccalaureate, scheduled for Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Springdale Church of the Nazarene.

We understand that this news may be disappointing, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. After careful consideration, the Princeton Community Baccalaureate Committee has decided to cancel this year's service due to significantly lower-than-expected student participation. Unfortunately, without sufficient student involvement, we are unable to uphold the quality and integrity of the event that our students and community deserve.

The Baccalaureate Service has been a student-led event, celebrating the achievements and aspirations of our graduates in the context of their faith and community spirit. This year would have marked the 27th Baccalaureate in our 66 years of celebrating graduations. While we haven't held this event every year, it remains a cherished tradition when we do.

We are committed to reevaluating how to better engage and support our students in future events. We hope to continue this tradition with renewed vigor and participation in the years to come; however, it must be something that students are interested in participating in and leading.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our Princeton students and community.

We look forward to celebrating our seniors at graduation on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

Sincerely,

Micah Mortimer, Princeton Baccalaureate Adult Coordinator

Ron Bollmer, Principal, Princeton High School

Kyle Jepson, Principal, Princeton Innovation Center
