2nd Quarter Letter from the Principal
Dear Princeton High School Parents and Students,
First and foremost we would like to say a big thank you on behalf of the Administration and faculty for having a successful 1st Quarter.
As a reminder, your student’s first quarter grade is a progress report grade not a transcript grade. Your student’s first quarter grades will be averaged into your student’s second quarter grades to create their final grades of the first semester. Saying that, we encourage students to touch base with their teachers and communicate with them if they’re struggling in class.
Winter sports practices will begin Oct 21st Girls Basketball, Oct 28th Boys Basketball & Swimming & Nov. 11 Wrestling. Also, there are several important dates that I want to update parents and students on.

¡Manténganse saludables y a salvo! Y como siempre; ¡Vamos Vikes!
Sinceramente,
Ron Bollmer
Principal

Safety Update on Alarm System Issues
Thursday, October 20, 2022
Dear Princeton High School Families,
In an effort to upgrade the security system, the bell/emergency alarm was unintentionally triggered yesterday. Since then, it has gone off several times. Announcements were made over the intercom, explaining these are false alarms.
SILCO, the alarm provider, has been working to correct the issue and confirm that it is working properly. The temporary changes to the current system will be tested this evening after students have left the building. A new, upgraded system is being installed to replace the current system.
Our students remained safe and are staying in the classrooms. Princeton staff members take seriously their role in providing a safe environment for our students every day.
We know that in times like these, especially after the recent hoax, these types of alarms and practice drills can cause students concern, and they may share and discuss what they have experienced when they get home. If this prompts any questions at home from students or you, please feel free to contact us.

Exploring Great Oaks Coffee Chat
A “Coffee Chat” with Great Oaks is simply an opportunity for students and families to learn about education and career options. We want all students to forge their strongest pathway, discover their passions, and be empowered for life success.
Scarlet Oaks Career Campus hires a firm called At The Core to facilitate these conversations, and the idea is to have a true dialog.
Career technical education might be a terrific option for one student and not for another who attends the session, and that’s okay. The sessions are designed so participants better understand what options are out there.
There are three “Coffee Chat” sessions:
🌳Anderson Branch Library on Tuesday, October 18, at 6 PM
🌳Deerfield Township Administration Building on Monday, October 24 at 6 PM
🌳A virtual “Coffee Chat” on Wednesday, October 26 at 6:30 PM.
