Princeton High School Lacrosse
The Princeton High School Lacrosse will be conducting a Fall new player training/familiarization for all Princeton students, girls and boys in grades 3 - 12. The Fall training will start September 13th from 5pm - 6pm and ending October 25th. If you are interested this would be a great opportunity to learn more about the game of lacrosse. Instruction will be provided by Andy Short (Princeton Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach), Assistant Coach Brian Miller, and veteran Princeton High School players.
The camp will be held on the grass field behind Princeton High School
Equipment will be provided, but is limited in quantity. We will do our best to see to it that each camper has a stick
Those players that plan to play lacrosse in the Spring it is recommended that they get their own equipment. Coaches and veteran players will advise what to get.
Be sure that each player brings a full water bottle
Family members are to stay at the field if anything unexpected occurs, please do not drop off and leave
During the camp players will be introduced to:
Basic stick skills
Basic lacrosse drills
Player positions
The rules of the game
There will also be scrimmages played to help introduce the game of lacrosse.
If your elementary/middle school aged child feels that they would like to play lacrosse next spring Coach Short will give you local club opportunities.

Princeton Student Advisory Council (P-SAC)
The PRINCETON STUDENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (P-SAC) comprises a group of dedicated students from the 11 Princeton City School District schools. P-SAC members help shape policy, ensure that student voice is a meaningful part of decision-making and advocacy efforts, and serve as a bridge between the administration and the student body. Mr. Burton is seeking students who will express views and opinions honestly, openly, constructively and respectfully, who will work collaboratively with others, and who have a willingness to offer suggestions on how the District can improve on a wide range of topics (i.e., educational equity, curriculum, educational programming, school climate, etc.).
Membership is considered an honor within the District, as students will bring their thoughts and insights directly to the Superintendent and other PCSD leaders. The group will meet for no more than one and one-half hours. There will be in-person or virtual meetings held throughout the school year.
Three students from each grade level will represent the team. There will be an elementary group (grades 4-5) and a secondary group (grades 6-12). Students will serve a one-year term and may apply for the following year. P-SAC is a full school year commitment, and attendance is expected at all meetings. Students may be replaced by the next qualified candidate from their school after failure to attend two consecutive sessions.
Eligibility Requirements
Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:
Students must complete an application process.
If selected, a parent or guardian must provide a signature on the parent form agreeing to the participation since students will miss instruction during the meeting.
Students are willing to authentically share their experience in Princeton City Schools to impact change within our District to create more equitable spaces for all students.
Students can meet quarterly without impacting their grades and other academic commitments (responsible for making up missed work, etc.).
Members remain on the council for one school year but may reapply if they wish to remain on for the subsequent year.
Teachers can recommend students to the building principal, and students can also self-select.
If interested in applying, please click the link here.

Special Projects by the Princeton Tri-M Music Honor Society Stand Out
Fourth Grade All-Sing Support
Tri-M members assisted the Fourth Grade All-Sing to ensure the success of the annual Princeton Festival of Arts.
Tri-M members helped to entertain fourth graders while they were waiting for their performance. Tri-M members led the fourth graders by each school to and from the stage for their performance, giving them encouraging remarks both before and after their show.
This project had an impact on our school, community, and the personal growth of our musicians. Elementary music teachers love to see their former students grow up and participate in music. Students set a positive example for the fourth graders by showing them that they are participating in music and leadership. It provides a much-needed and personal growth service to assist the elementary music teachers with supervision and direction and leadership. Parents felt comfortable that there was adequate supervision.

Scholarships must be used to fund a professional development activity for the chapter including, but not limited to, clinicians, master classes, field trips, conference travel, or summer music program scholarships.
