The Art Room is shining bright with beautiful “STAR” art!!! Kindergarten is creating a stained glass star to grace the skies with their shining light. First grade is learning about the artist and children’s book artist, Erik Carle and creating their own star as we read his book, “Make Me A Star.” Second grade is taking an ART venture into space and creating their very own galaxies using chalk pastels. Third grade is learning about Vincent Van Gogh and showing their knowledge of Movement and Texture in their work by creating their very own Van Gogh inspired scene. Fourth grade is exploring the art of string art by creating their very own string star showing their knowledge of Line and Movement in their work. Finally, fifth graders are exploring the work of 3 dimensional relief sculpture by creating their own “pop-out” star complete with a message of why they think that they are a star.
