It is an opportunity to educate the public about autism, celebrate the unique strengths and abilities of individuals with autism, and advocate for the rights and support they need to thrive in society. World Autism Awareness Day was designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 2007 to highlight the importance of addressing the challenges faced by individuals with autism and their families.
