Important Message: Woodlawn Elementary School Evacuation and Fire Drill
Dear Princeton Community and Woodlawn Elementary Families,
This morning, April 25, 2024, during regular school hours, a strong smell of smoke was detected at the Woodlawn Elementary School building premises. As per our safety protocols, we promptly initiated a full evacuation of the building to ensure the safety of all students and staff members.
In response to the situation, the Woodlawn Fire Department swiftly arrived on the scene to investigate the source of the smell. After a thorough examination, it was determined that the smell originated from a fire down the street and was NOT in or around our school building.
Our students and staff's safety and well-being are our utmost priority. Everyone has safely returned to the building and has resumed regular activities.
