The gymnasium buzzed with energy as students and teachers filled the bleachers, eagerly awaiting the tip-off. The event, known for its spirited competition and light-hearted fun, serves as a celebration of the students’ accomplishments and a rite of passage as they prepare to leave their elementary years behind.

The game began with the 5th graders showcasing their youthful enthusiasm and agility with the help of several former Woodlawn students who are currently students at Princeton High School. The students demonstrated impressive teamwork and determination, making several early baskets and keeping the game competitive. The staff, on the other hand, brought experience and strategy to the court, balancing the scales with their coordinated plays and seasoned skills.

Throughout the game, the crowd erupted in cheers and laughter, enjoying the playful banter and sportsmanship displayed by both teams. Teachers, who are usually seen in the classroom setting, took on a different role, showing their athletic side and connecting with the students in a unique and memorable way.
