Ms. Dorris’s 5.2 wings reading group is reading the book “Esperanza Rising”. In the book, chapters are named after fruits that the migrant workers pick. To experience the fruit mentioned , Ms Dorris brought in the fruits guava and Papaya for the students to sample. As a result, this can be applied to their background knowledge as it relates to comparing and contrasting fruit.
