Health Safety Update

The City of Springdale Health Department was advised by the Ohio Department of Health Laboratory that mosquitoes collected on August 28, 2024, tested positive for the West Nile Virus.

These mosquitoes were collected in the northeast quadrant of the community near Chamberlain Park and in the southwest quadrant of Springdale near the Glenview Golf Course.

We wanted to share this information and the attached public health advisory with the Princeton City School District, given the close proximity of Chamberlain Park to Heritage Hill Elementary School.

The Ohio Department of Health Zoonotic Disease Program’s website is an outstanding resource for additional information on the West Nile Virus.
