Safety Update - September 4

Wednesday, September 4, 2024

Dear Princeton Families,

We want to inform you that late this evening, Princeton City School officials became aware of a social media threat suggesting threats of violence against a list of local Cincinnati area schools, which included Princeton.

This threat was not specific to any building. Please be assured that local law officials, including the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and FBI Intel units, are conducting a thorough investigation into this cyber threat.

Out of an abundance of caution, Princeton City Schools will have an increased police presence on our campuses tomorrow, Thursday, September 5, 2024. Each building has been and will be checked again throughout the day for anything suspicious.

We will continue to take all threats against our schools seriously, and disciplinary action will be taken. Please continue to help us keep our schools safe by reporting all safety concerns to a trusted adult, law enforcement, or the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System. If you or your child has information regarding any threat against Princeton City Schools, please contact the school or a local police department.

Once again, we deeply appreciate the support we have received from our local law enforcement agencies and the cooperation of our teachers, staff, and students in keeping our buildings safe. Families, your support is extremely helpful, and we are grateful for it.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your building principals.

Thank you.

G. Elgin Card
