Principal

Dear parents,

It is hard to believe that Spring Break has already passed, and we are now in the final stretch of the 2024-2025 school year. As we look ahead, we have several important events, including state testing and field trips. On testing days, it is essential that students arrive well-rested, have a nutritious breakfast, and arrive at school on time to perform their best. Our students have put in tremendous effort this year, and we couldn’t be more proud of their achievements. They continue to impress us with their hard work and dedication.

I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support throughout the year. Your involvement is crucial to the success of our students, and together, we continue to create a positive and enriching environment. As we welcome the Spring season, it brings with it a sense of renewal, a time for fresh energy and optimism. With your continued partnership, our staff remains committed to providing valuable opportunities for family engagement and ensuring that parents’ voices are heard.

Thank you again for everything you do for our school and community. Your support truly makes a difference.

Thank you,

Tim Walker

This year we are working with UC Economics to enhance our PBIS System. The UC STep store allows elementary students to earn school currency for positive behaviors such as completing homework on time, arriving at school on time, showing academic achievement, and good behavior. They then get to spend this currency at our step store each quarter.

Outdoor Recess

As colder weather approaches, please be sure your child dresses appropriately for the weather. We will be going outside to recess whenever possible, and this includes cold temperature days. If the temperature becomes unsafe, we will have indoor recess. Outdoor recess provides children with the vigorous exercise they need and will continue most winter days.

SCHOOL GOALS:

Literacy – During the school year, 80% of students will meet or exceed their individualized growth target on the i-Ready Diagnostic.

Math – During the school year, 80% of the students will meet or exceed their individualized growth target on the i-Ready Diagnostic.

PBIS – During the school year, we're implementing the Leader in Me program and we are also having each staff member complete a positive referral for our students that go above and beyond.
