Positive Happening! Students in Ms. Waller and Mrs. Holden's class learned how feelings manifest in their bodies during a social-emotional lesson. This helps students to be aware of their emotions. Students worked in teams to match different body "symptoms" with common emotions they may experience during the school day.

Writing About Reading Students in Ms. Bailey's intervention class are learning to write a summary of stories they read using "Somebody Wanted But So Then." This strategy gives them an easy outline or framework to use when identifying key story elements and can be used in many ways. They have found this to be an easy way to effectively get their thoughts down in writing.
