All of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters came to life on stage when the Sharonville Elementary School’s Drama Club performed the children's musical, Seussical™ KIDS, on stage at the school on December 8, 2017.

Featuring over 50 talented students, the colorful on-stage characters transported audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus and the invisible world of the Whos.

The story centered around a boy named JoJo, played by Tucker Harmon who conjured up the Cats in the Hats, performed by Lily Cunningham, Charlie Robenalt and Zoe Harmon.  JoJo is whisked away to the Jungle of Nool for a fantastical adventure.  Horton the Elephant, played by Gabriel Taylor,  found himself faced with a double challenge -- not only must he protect his tiny friend Jojo and all the invisible Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he had to guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird, performed by Harlee Fetick.

Although Horton faced ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz, played by Isabel Rodriguez, never lost faith in him and was the only one who recognized "his kind and powerful heart."

The play led the audience through a journey where the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community were challenged but emerged triumphant.

Other Seuss characters included Sour Kangaroo and Young Kangaroo, played by Ria Henry and Natalie Maidlow; Yertle the Turtle, performed by Jamie Barron; Mr. and Mrs. Mayor, featured by Joshua Williams and Siri Kotha; and the Talk Show Host, played by Liliana Santos-Gomez. Vlad Vladikoff, performed by Xavier Roberts may have stolen the show.

Also featured in the cast were Alexandra Zamago, Saleen Oswald, Kolbie Hunter, Aariya Elliott, Nusayb Choudhury, Destiney Walton, Makayla Clark, Jaclyn Smith, Heaven Walters, Mohinur Rakhmatjonova, Shyloh Crutcher, Katrina Coffey, Laila Taylor, Liam Robenalt, Myrka Bautista, Sofia Montiel, Samhita Kannajosyula, Brianna Roblero, Corwin Darrah, Caleb Taul, Hunter Cole Scott, Aden Williams, David Booker, Joshua Lent, Elijah Ballard, Paytyn DePeel, Marianna Bishop, Briley Bishop, Chancy Ta, David Parker, Kohen Mason, Skylar Friesner, Violet Norris, Kayla Barrera Mendoza, and Gabrielle Dietrich.

Directed by Dr. Deborah L. Jackson, Mrs. Jenny Powers, and Mr. Steve Coleman, the musical was sponsored by the Princeton Education Foundation and the Sharonville Parent Faculty Organization (PFO).
