Dear Princeton Families,
Princeton City School officials were notified of a social media post by a student suggesting a threat on TikTok of a shooting at Stewart Elementary School. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and Sharonville Police Department have investigated this threat and found it unsubstantiated.
Princeton City Schools students are currently on Fall Break and will return to classes on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Princeton City School District has a zero-tolerance policy for threats of violence, regardless of whether they are intended as a joke or to cause disruption. These actions carry serious consequences, including felony charges—no matter the age of the student involved. We will continue to take swift and decisive action to ensure our schools remain safe places for learning.
I want to also remind everyone of the importance of the "See Something, Say Something" principle. If you or your child become aware of any suspicious behavior or potential threats, please report them immediately. We all play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our children.
Once again, we deeply appreciate the support we have received from our local law enforcement agencies and the cooperation of our teachers, staff, students, and community members in keeping our buildings safe.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your building principals.
Thank you, and have a safe Fall Break.
G. Elgin Card
