Today Heritage Hill celebrates the Air Force NCO 123rd Air Control Squadron for favorite military branch day of the Ohio Family Military Spirit Week! The 123rd Air Control Squadron are the adopt-a-class partners for Ms. Patterson's 5th grade class. Last week they brought MRE's (meals ready to eat) for the students to try & they've supported classroom activities and parties! Next week, they are bringing a humvee for the students in Ms. Patterson's class to explore! The students and staff at Heritage Hill Elementary School were evacuated from the building after smoke was detected in the Boiler Room. The Springdale Fire Department is on site and has determined that the smoke was caused by a power surge, which made the boiler work harder than normal. There was no fire, only smoke.
All students and staff are safe and accounted for, and there were no injuries. The fire department concluded the investigation and gave the all-clear for students and staff to return to the building at 3:42 PM.
Dismissal may be slightly delayed. Thank you for your patience and cooperation, as we keep our school community safe.

Last week, Miss Carlson's 5th Grade at Heritage Hill was treated to a tour of multiple labs at their adopt-a-class' company, Michelman. After their tour, they got to make slime in a lab then have lunch at the facility! STEM in action! Thank you to Michelman for making the opportunity possible for our students! #AAGV
