Another fantastic field trip to Green Acres for the second half of Heritage Hill's 5th grade students yesterday! Cooler temperatures made for ideal outdoor learning conditions to learn from nature! We are grateful for our continued partnership with Green Acres to make these field trips possible, giving every student every opportunity! #AAGV

It's time for another edition of "Meet the Team Monday at Heritage Hill!" ❤️🩶 Meet Mrs. Contreras! Mrs. Contreras is new to the education world having previously worked as a manager for P&G. Mrs. Contreras brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to her role including being a native Spanish speaker. Here are some fun facts about Mrs. Contreras: 💓Favorite color: PINK! 🏙️ Favorite Travel Destination: NYC 📕 Favorite way to relax: a book, a blanket and fireplace 🏫 Favorite thing about HH: the people, and being able to speak Spanish so much! 🛟Heritage Hill Hope Squad Chalks the Walk 🛟 It may have been a rainy start to the day but Heritage Hill's Hope Squad spread a message of positivity this morning by chalking the walk with welcoming and positive messages for students to see as they entered the building! Green Acres is the place to be! 🌲🌳🎵 Today half of Heritage Hill's 5th grade students went to Green Acres where they took part in hands on learning through a variety of science experiments! Students learned how ecological relationships in nature provide the necessities of life and explored fossils as well. #EveryStudentEveryOpportunity #AAGV

🛟Heritage Hill Hope Squad kicked off the year with welcome posters and a clap in this morning! 🛟 It was wonderful to see the smiles brought by letting every student know they are welcome & we were glad they were at school today. The purpose of Hope Squad is foster human connection, community and hope. UPDATE: The Evendale Police Department has notified us that road closures related to the Cooper Road water main break are expected to continue through the end of this week.

Evendale Elementary remains open and is operating on its normal schedule.

First Student Transportation will work around the road closures, but families should be prepared for possible bus delays in the Evendale area.

Evendale Elementary has water pressure and is NOT currently under a boil advisory. Students are encouraged to bring a full, clear water bottle to school each day this week.

We will continue to monitor the situation and share additional information if changes affect school operations, transportation, or water service.

Princeton and Evendale Elementary Families,

Due to a water main break on Cooper Road in Evendale, road closures are in effect on Cooper, Winnebago, and Reading Roads, which may affect morning transportation on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

First Student Transportation is aware of the closures and will adjust bus routes as needed. Families should be prepared for possible delays for buses traveling through the affected area. Evendale Elementary School will operate on its normal schedule on Tuesday.

Evendale Elementary currently has water pressure and is not under a boil water advisory. A boil water advisory is in effect for an area south of the school area. As an additional precaution, we encourage students to bring a full, clear water bottle to school on Tuesday, September 8.

The District expects to receive another update regarding the water main break on Tuesday afternoon. We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate any changes that affect school operations or transportation.
