Heritage Hill wrapped up Teacher Appreciation Week, Traitors Edition on Friday! And the winners are..........🥁 The TRAITORS (or known amongst themselves as the Tradders) 🤣! Their strategies helped them to eliminate every faithful in the building! The original traitors were: Mrs. Ard, Miss Carlson, Mrs. Forse, Mrs. Grant, Mrs. Mayborg, & Miss Schmidt! Throughout the week, additional traitors were recruited when an OG was eliminated: Mrs. Akemon, Mrs. Cross, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Long, & Mrs. Paquette! Miss Schmidt was the lone lady standing at the end, which clinched us the win! Mrs. Johnston was our top points earner with 34 points! 🏆 We had so much fun completing challenges like dance parties, decorating cars, making posters, doing cheers, creating complimentary announcements for staff, creating awards, and anonymously leaving candy on staff desks! Check out Miss Oak doing the worm at arrival for a little dance party fun! 🐛 We also enjoyed breakfast every morning at the castle and tried to guess who the traitors were! Principal Lastra, thank you SO much for the countless hours you spent preparing individualized challenges, counting points, overseeing the game throughout the week & all of the delicious food you prepared each morning! Many staff have said this was their favorite teacher appreciation week ever! Thank you for creating such a fun way for us to celebrate one another! ❤️🩶 Will Teacher Appreciation Week 2027 bring Traitors, Season 2 to Heritage Hill? We shall find out soon enough! To our once Little Vikes, now graduating senior Vikings, Class of 2026, we are beyond proud of all you have accomplished and we are so excited to watch your amazing futures continue unfold! It's teacher appreciation spirit week at Heritage Hill & yesterday we celebrated Mrs. Midkiff with a UK/blue and white themed day! 💙🤍 Mrs. Midkiff looks forward to spending her days remembering all the fun times some of the staff members had pranking each other, such as: filling their office or classrooms, with lots of surprise holiday items, covering the principal’s office from ceiling to the floor with Post-It notes, and even the time a teacher returned from a field trip to find her desk, chair and other belongings all sitting in the hall. Having fun with each other created such an enjoyable working environment. ❤️🩶 The things Mrs. Midkiff will miss the most will be a special friendships that were formed with many of her coworkers, as well as, the sweet faces of all her students so eager to learn and the excitement on their faces when “the lightbulb” moment happens as they finally understand. 💡❤️ Mrs. Midkiff is most looking forward to waking up naturally, NO ALARMS!!! ⏰ Please join us in giving Mrs. Midkiff a round of applause and thank her for her incredible dedication to Heritage Hill Elementary School! It's teacher appreciation spirit week at Heritage Hill & yesterday we celebrated Mrs. Gordon with a UC/red and black themed day! ❤️🖤 Mrs. Gordon will be retiring at the end of this school year with 30 years of service to Princeton City Schools & Heritage Hill Elementary! What a legacy she is leaving for the Heritage Hill community. Mrs. Gordon's favorite memories are of field trips to the Serpentine Wall & Fountain Square, Thursday evening planning sessions with Mrs. Dorn, Mrs. Friedman, and Mrs. Wagner; post-it noting a formers principals car, and Friday night dinners with Mrs. Wagner. She will miss the staff and students at Heritage Hill! Staff appreciation week fun continues Traitors style at Heritage Hill! 🤩Breakfast at the castle each morning, trying to identify and eliminate traitors and keep the faithfuls alive! Spinning the wheel for tasks or prizes! Tasks include "crowing" colleagues, leaving anonymous treats, decorating desks with new "family portraits", creating thrones for teacher royalty, making signs and being cheerleaders! We've even had some dance parties & karaoke at lunch! 🎤 💃 👑 Who will remain on Friday, will the faithful win or do the traitors take over Castle de Heritage Hill? Mrs. Evers will be retiring at the end of this school year with 38.5 years of service to Princeton City Schools & Heritage Hill Elementary and 40.5 years total in public education! An incredible career! Mrs. Evers favorite memories are of all the wonderful staff and students she's had the pleasure of working with over the years! She loves to see the students excited when they reach their growth goals! She will miss teaching and being with students! Caw, caw, caw! 🐦‍⬛ Staff/teacher appreciation week is underway the "Traitor" way at Heritage Hill Elementary! Who are the faithful? Who are the traitors? What prizes, crow notes, and other fun mysteries await the staff at Castle Heritage Hill this week? Each morning staff will enjoy breakfast at the castle, spin the wheel for a treat or a traitor task, then perform their tasks. Their job is to figure out who the faithful are among them...and who is a traitor; while earning prizes and encouraging one another throughout the week. Such a fun, creative, and clever way to celebrate staff/teacher appreciation week!

Happy Principals Appreciation Day to Principal Lastra at Heritage Hill Elementary!
