Last Wednesday, personnel from the Springdale Police and Fire Departments were paired with students from
Heritage Hill Elementary School & they participated in our annual Shop With a Hero Program at the Springdale Target Store. The kids were treated to a shopping spree courtesy of donations mostly from Vance Outdoors, Inc.. Everyone had a great time and some great friendships were formed! Congratulations to the 2nd and 3rd grade students on a fantastic holiday concert "A Bugz Christmas" under the direction of music teacher, Ms. Ard! 🎶The students dressed and played their bug parts so wonderfully & the singing was spectacular!

Heritage Hill Hilda made her return to see our Little Vikes this week & she brought a friend with her! She zip-lined in on Monday, brought her ice cream truck in on Tuesday and played Little Vikings scrabble on Thursday! We can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans she gets into next week!
The students are excited to vote on a name for her friend soon, too!

Oh what fun it is to hear & see the red cart coming with treats! 🔔 Heritage Hill 4th and 5th grade teachers treated the staff to cookies, hot chocolate, candy canes and raffle tickets with an opportunity to win a prize! Heritage Hill hopes everyone is enjoying their snow day, "Chillen With Their Snowmies"! ⛄️ How fun are these displays featuring Heritage Hill staff? Who do you recognize? Throughout the month of November, Heritage Hill students worked very hard on passing iReady reading and math lessons with our Turkey Trot challenge! Homerooms were grouped in 3s and assigned a turkey team. The goal was for each team to pass 1,000 lessons throughout the month! We had over 6,700 lessons passed last month!!! Homerooms whose team met the challenge earned an extra recess prior to the break.
The December iReady goal challenge is to earn raffle prizes towards presents that are being sponsored by BSI Engineering! Students can earn up to 6 raffle tickets: reading effort, reading goal met, reading stretch goal met, math effort, math goal met and math stretch goal met. The drawing will take place the week of December 15. Each homeroom will have up to 7 winners. Students will also earn locker badges for the goals they meet.
