The week of Oct. 9-13 is National School Lunch Week, highlighting the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has both in and out of the classroom. The National School Lunch Program started in 1946 as a way to provide nutritious meals to children from low-income families who might not otherwise have access to a daily meal. President John F. Kennedy declared National School Lunch Week in 1962, and now the school lunch program serves nearly 30 million children every school day.
PHS Holds Girls' Basketball Try-outs Friday, October 27th. Freshman try-out will be from 2:30 - 4 pm and Sophomore - Seniors will try out will be from 4:30 - 6pm. Bring your sports physical and come to the main arena.

Congratulations to Michael Yuwono for being named a National Merit Semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Michael achieved this honor by scoring in the top half of the top one percent of students who took the PSAT in the fall of 2022.
On Friday October 6, area McDonald’s Restaurants will be raising money for local high school sports programs. The restaurants will be donating 20% of all sales from the McDonald’s App on Friday, October 6th. Your athletic department will then receive a check to support your school's sports programming.
And, of course, you may contact the restaurant below to see if you can do some fun things to promote and raise more money for your program!

The Ohio National Guard hosted an event for HS educators explaining their program and benefits for high school graduates at Lunken Airport this past weekend. There were people representing schools from around the city. This picture is the group from Princeton who attended the event. We’re on an army truck that was on display. The hi light of this event was a flight over the city and up to Kings Island and back on a Chinook Helicopter. See attached photo.
