JROTC NEWS
COMPLETED EVENTS (January 2025):
1. The Color Guard team presented the colors at the four boys varsity home basketball games on 3, 7, 17, and 31 January and one varsity girls home game on 29 January.
2. The unit hosted Mr. Orlando Sonza, Executive Director of the Veterans Service COmmission of Hamilton County on Friday, 24 January.
3. Cadet Mason Lim submitted his 3 page essay as his entry into the NJROTC Gilliam Award. "Diplomacy in the Age of Social Media" was the subject/theme of the essay. Winners will be announced in March 2025.
FUTURE EVENTS (February 2025):
1. The Color Guard team will present the colors at two varsity home basketball games on 4 and 7 February.
2. 42 Cadets will participate in an orientation trip to the Navy ROTC unit at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio on Friday, 7 February.
3. The Joint Leadership Academic Bowl (JLAB) team consisting of Cadets Addyson Sowders, Mason, Lim, Kayelee Branham, and Jonathan Morris will compete in round 2 of the JLAB competition during the first week of February. All Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force JROTC units nationwide compete in this event. The team advanced to the second round with a first score of 80% on 14 November 2024.
4. Cadets Samuel Yeboah and Isiah Hendricks will participate in the Business Breakfast on 6 February.
5. Parent/Teacher conferences on Thursday, 13 February.
6. 25 Princeton Cadets will participate in the nation wide NJROTC National Academic Exam during the last week of February.

The U.S. Navy awarded Princeton High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) with the Unit Achievement award for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Unit Achievement award is one of the highest commendations a unit can be awarded and it’s the 6 th straight year Princeton High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) has been recognized for demonstrated exceptional performance. 106 cadets at Princeton High School will be recognized with the Unit
Achievement ribbon to be worn on their NJROTC uniform at the annual NJROTC awards ceremony.
