Happy National School Librarian Appreciation Day! Thank you to our #DifferenceMakers, who help our students become lifelong learners. Our School Library media professionals, under the direction of Amy Price, District Media Specialist, support our students’ educational success by collaborating with teachers, managing technology devices, offering Maker Space activities, and coordinating needed resources and learning materials. They create inviting environments to read, research, learn, and listen to stories.

PCSD will NOT be able to distribute eclipse glasses to each student for the April 8, 2024 eclipse.* Adults may pick up to five free glasses (per household) at the Princeton Administration Center at 3900 Cottingham Drive. Glasses will be available for pickup between 8 AM and 3 PM on Thursday, April 4, and Friday, April 5. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and require an adult signature. *Despite our glasses being ISO-approved, our district attorneys have advised that we cannot distribute them because we cannot guarantee their proper usage outside of the school environment.

Hey 5th Graders! Don't Miss This: PCMS Music Try It Night
Hello Sharonville! Miss Marci here! Last year's talent show was a hit, so I am happy to announce that, SHARONVILLE’S GOT TALENT FROM AROUND THE WORLD! I have recognized that we have many talents in our school of all ages. In addition to that, I have a strong belief that with 22 spoken languages in our school, we are one of the most culturally diverse elementary schools in the tri- state area. So let's kick off our summer by celebrating the many talents and cultures that coincides in our community. Being a culturally diverse school has many benefits. Not only do the children learn from the teachers and staff but they can learn from each other. We can learn from those whose experiences, beliefs, and perspectives are different from our own, and these lessons can be taught best in a richly diverse intellectual and social environment. It promotes personal growth-and a healthy society. Naturally, by exposing students to a diverse range of opinions, thoughts, and cultural backgrounds, it encourages them to be more open-minded later in life. This will make them open to new ideas and be able to attain a greater comprehension on a topic by taking in different points of view. My goal is to highlight the wonderful existence of diversity right here in our school. So I want to extend a warm welcome for your child to share a song, dance, speech or demonstration of something native to your country and because we like to go big! Here is something really special. Last year, 6 parents participated in our talent show with their children! I was born in a musical family and have performed with my father, uncles and grandfather, many times. I believe it's a wonderful way to connect and build. Please feel welcome to be a part of your child's act! So come join the fun and share a song, dance, speech or demonstration to celebrate the cultural diversity in our school! Let's end the school year on a high note! Permission slips will be coming home soon and available online. Auditions will begin May 1, 2024. All appropriate talent is welcome to audition and acts can be up to two minutes. Be on the lookout for the permission slip and have a wonderful weekend! Thank you, Miss Marci and Talent Team

Students in 3rd grade are reading all about ancient Egypt and comparing it to Egypt today! They are also learning about King Tut and how mummies were made. These students wrote their names using hieroglyphics, an ancient Egyptian script.
