HOPE Squad
Open to students in grades 7-8

Hope Squad is a course where students are invited to participate through a peer nomination process. This course is available ONLY by invitation. It is a one-year commitment and is a class that consists of both seventh and eighth-grade students. The course consists of training in suicide prevention, active listening, mental health disorders, self-care strategies, as well as other social/emotional learning activities. Grant Us Hope provides the curriculum and materials that are used in this course. Hope Squad members are expected to earn volunteer hours every month and demonstrate our Viking values daily.
This course is a pass/fail grade and parent permission is required.
