The OGYAE offers students from across Ohio the opportunity to step into competition, raise their art abilities, their confidence, and to reach personal goals and challenges. A program of the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, in partnership with the Ohio Governor’s Office, Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, and the Ohio Arts Council, sponsors are also secured to offer scholarships for students to continue a post-secondary arts education. This initiative supports arts education at its source, emerging student artists throughout the state. Students receive awards during a ceremony which also acknowledges teachers, families, and sponsors.
