NJROTC Updates
The annual Area Manager's Inspection (AMI) off-site was conducted on 15 March. This year's guest inspector was Captain Frank Mendralski. 106 cadets participated in this event with an overall inspection result of "Outstanding".
Parent/teacher conferences were conducted from 3-7 PM, on Thursday, 23 March. Two sets of parents came and visited the NJROTC instructors, the Anderson and Dorsey families.
The NJROTC Shoe Shining Party in-class was conducted on 8 March.
FUTURE EVENTS (April 2023):
Spring Break, 1 April through 10 April 2023. Classes resume Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
The semi-annual Physical Readiness Test (PRT) will be administered on 13 April with the makeup date of 14 April.
Thirty-five cadets will participate in the AREA THREE Physical Training Championships at Central Crossing High School, Grove City, Ohio on 15 April.
The color guard will present the colors at the School Board of Education meeting on Monday, 17 April.
PHS Prom is 22 April.
The NJROTC End of the Year ceremony will be conducted in class on Tuesday, 25 April.
Ohio Department of Education End of Course testing will be on 18, 19, 20, 25, and 26 April.

The Prince and Princess parade! Children ages 2-12 are encouraged to wear their favorite prince/princess costume and join in the fun!

Reminder ~ Thursday, March 30th
Only 10th grade students and some upper classmen will report to Princeton HS on Thursday, March 30th. Students will arrive at normal time (7:10) and report to their testing location. Grades 9, 11 & 12 will be online working on their Google Classroom assignments from their daily scheduled classes.

Reminder for 10th Grade Testing next week
There will be Remote Learning Days on Tuesday, March 28th and Thursday, March 30th for grades 9, 11 and 12th.
The 10th grade class will report to the building to take End of Course Testing ~ English Language Arts part I & II on those two days.
Students working remotely will have assignments on Google Classroom from their teachers.
Princeton's Solè Williams earn statewide honors

Princeton's senior point guard earned statewide honors for basketball this week. Solè Williams, who was named the All-Ohio Girls Basketball Division I Player of the Year along with the Gatorade Ohio Girls Basketball Player of the year, led Princeton High School to the Division I State Title a few weeks ago.
Williams, a Texas A&M signee, averaged 20.2 points, 3.4 assists, 3.4 steals and 3.3 rebounds for the Vikings (28-2). Princeton won its first girls basketball state championship since 2014 and the program's third overall (Class AAA championship in 1987).

Princeton Navy JROTC Annual Inspection
The U.S. Navy will be conducting its Annual Military Inspection (AMI) of the Princeton High School NJROTC program on Wednesday, March 15 at 8:00 A.M. This is the single most significant event in the entire NJROTC program, which is why we have spent so much practice time preparing for this event. The two most important events within the AMI are the uniform inspection and pass-in-review ceremony.

2023 State Wrestling Tournament 8th place Division I
Micah Cottrell (11) represented Princeton High School this past weekend in Columbus, Ohio at the OHSAA 2023 State Wrestling Tournament. Micah placed in the top 8 of his weight class for Division I schools. Congratulations Micah!

Lesley Torres & Jackson Woodall competed at DECA State Finals this past week. Lesly Torres placed in the top 10 in Professional Selling and Jackson Woodall placed in the top 10 in Financial Consulting. Congratulations on such a successful competition!

The Pulsera Project

Princeton High School's National Spanish Honor Society Raises Awareness and Funds for Artists in Central America
From Monday, March 20 to Friday, March 24, Princeton High School's Spanish National Honor Society will be selling hand-woven bracelets, or ‘pulseras’ in Spanish, to empower the artists who make them in Nicaragua & Guatemala. The sale was organized through the Pulsera Project, a Fair Trade nonprofit organization that empowers and educates people in the U.S. and Central America through pulsera sales.
Student and teacher volunteers raise funds that benefit fair trade jobs, worker rights, sustainability and education, while learning about the cultures, lives and struggles of communities in Central America. The Pulsera Project’s goal is to create a more just and colorful world by encouraging conscious consumerism and social enterprise.
Princeton High School students will be able to purchase the bracelets during their normal lunch bells at school that week. Princeton families can also see and purchase the bracelets at Early Literacy Night on Thursday, March 23, 3:00 - 7:00 in Viking Village.

La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica de Princeton High School despierta conciencia y recauda fondos para artistas en América Central
Desde el lunes, 20 de marzo hasta el viernes, 24 de marzo, la Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica de Princeton High School venderá brazaletes, o "pulseras" en español, tejidas a mano para empoderar a los artistas que las tejen en Nicaragua y Guatemala. La venta fue organizada por el Proyecto Pulsera, una organización sin fines de lucro de comercio justo que empodera y educa a la gente en EE.UU. y América Central a través de la venta de pulseras.
Los estudiantes y maestros que trabajan de voluntario recaudan fondos para beneficiar a los puestos de trabajo de salario de comercio justo, los derechos de empleados, sostenibilidad y educación, mientras que aprenden de la culturas, realidades y problemas de comunidades en América Central. La meta de Proyecto Pulsera es crear un mundo más justo y colorido a través de alentar el consumismo consciente y empresa socioeconómica.

Williams named the Gatorade OH Girls Basketball player of the Year
Point guard Sole' Williams led Princeton High School to the Division i State Final Four! Today, senior Sole' Williams was the Gatorade Ohio Girls Basketball Player of the Year!
Williams, a Texas A & M signee, averaged 20.5 points, 3.7 steals, 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Vikings (26 - 2), who play Grafton Midview (23 - 4) in a Division I state semifinal at 6 pm this Friday at University of Dayton Arena.

🏀 Mari Gerton, Princeton – The sophomore guard had 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists against Mason on Feb. 28 before a 14-point performance against Kings on March 4.
