Associate Superintendent

Tonya West Wright is a dedicated and accomplished educator, currently serving as the Associate Superintendent at Princeton City Schools. With a remarkable career spanning 25 years, Tonya has consistently strived to provide every student with the opportunity to reach their full potential through a high-quality education in her former roles as a high school english teacher, high school assistant principal, intermediate and elementary school principal, Director of Teaching and Learning, and Assistant Superintendent.

As the Associate Superintendent, Tonya will play a pivotal role in supporting the district's superintendent to ensure the best possible educational programs and services for the entire school community. Her responsibilities encompass the oversight of Student Services, as well as the Curriculum, Instructional, and Assessment departments. Her commitment to excellence and passion for fostering educational equity underpin every aspect of her work.

Tonya's pursuit of knowledge began at The Ohio State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree, instilling in her a strong educational foundation. She continued her studies at the University of Michigan, obtaining a Master of Education degree, and later pursued a Masters of Educational Administration degree at the University of Cincinnati. This academic journey equipped her with the skills and insights necessary to become an influential leader in the field of education.

Educational equity is at the heart of Tonya's mission. She firmly believes that every student, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves access to a high-quality education that empowers them to succeed. Her dedication to promoting equity ensures that all students have equal opportunities to thrive and achieve their dreams.
