Open Enrollment Application School Year 2025-2026
Princeton City School District is proud to participate in Open Enrollment. Princeton is a nationally recognized, award-winning school district that is rich in diversity and is equally rich in the educational opportunities offered to each student. Application for open enrollment is available to children whose parents/guardians reside outside of the district boundaries. Applications must be made on a yearly basis and is open to students in grades kindergarten through twelve. Resident students will be given first priority for attendance in district schools.
Parents or guardians may be required to provide transportation for any students enrolled through Open Enrollment.
The placement of students in Princeton schools will be based on optimum enrollment for each school, program, student-teacher ratio at each school and physical space available. Placement of nonresident students in district schools will be at the discretion of the superintendent or designee.
Applications must be returned in person by the custodial parent/guardian. Applications received by other methods will not be accepted. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis (date/time of receipt) in accordance with district policy.

Application dates for Princeton City School District Open Enrollment will begin Monday, January 6, 2025, and continue through Friday, May 23, 2025. Applications will be accepted at the Princeton Administrative Center.

Applications will be considered on first-come, first-served bases in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 3313.98 and Princeton City School District policy and guidelines, which require the district to accept students where class and program size permits.
Parents or guardians may be required to provide transportation for any students enrolled through Open Enrollment.
Currently, the grades listed below are at capacity for the 2025-2026 school year and acceptance of Open Enrolled Students in these grades is not anticipated:

The Princeton City School District is in the process of identifying, locating, and evaluating children with disabilities who may be in need of special education and related services.
From birth to age 3, a disability is an established condition known to result in delay, or a documented developmental delay.
For ages 3 to 5, a disability is a documented deficit in one or more of the following developmental areas: communication, vision, hearing, motor skills, social emotional/behavioral functioning, self-help skills, and/or cognitive skills.
For ages 5 to 21, a disability is identification of one or more of the following conditions: autism, deaf-blindness, hearing impairment including deafness, mental retardation, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, emotional disturbance, specific learning disability, speech or language impairment, traumatic brain injury, and/or visual impairment including blindness.
