Princeton Music Booster Private Lesson Scholarship Applications available March 8 and due online, April 4 at 11:59pm

Starting in 1961 with the award of two scholarships, the Princeton Music Boosters have supported the musical growth of hundreds of Princeton music students through the subsidy of private lesson expenses.  Although private study is not required for participation in the Princeton Music program, it is well understood that advanced musical achievement requires this level of instruction.  The awarding of scholarships to talented and dedicated music students not only encourages their growth but also has a direct impact on the quality of the overall music curriculum.  If you are interested in a Private Lesson Scholarship for the 22-23 school year, please complete the application online by April 4 at 11:59pm.

Princeton Music Booster Joan Meier Scholarship Applications available March 8 and due online, April 4 at 11:59pm 

Joan Meier was the first District Music Coordinator for the Princeton School District, a position she held for 35 years. From the formation of the district until her retirement in 1995, Mrs. Meier was the unquestioned leader and driving force behind the Princeton music program. Under her guidance, Princeton achieved state and national recognition for the breadth and depth of its music program. Her leadership extended to all areas of the music curriculum, and the comprehensive excellence of the K-12 music program was among her proudest accomplishments. In 2010, the Princeton Music Boosters established a scholarship in her name for Princeton seniors who are entering college as music majors. This is intended to be a one-time award of $1000 and only Princeton High School seniors who have declared music as their major course of study at an accredited college or university may apply.
